Lecture and Exhibition Tour: Soft Robots at CC
In collaboration with Københavns Folkeuniversitet, CC opens its doors for a lecture and guided tour of the critically acclaimed exhibition Soft Robots. Here, you can hear unique stories from the art world as CC’s director and curator of the exhibition, Marie Laurberg, shares insights into the making of Soft Robots and her collaboration with the artists – offering a behind-the-scenes look at the many considerations that shaped the exhibition. After the lecture, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition with CC’s guides.
The exhibition Soft Robots at Copenhagen Contemporary brings together a number of prominent contemporary artists working at the intersection of technology, biology, and existence. Through sculpture, installation, video, and sound, the works explore how technology can not only imitate the human but also take shape as something sensory, sensitive, and alive. The exhibition shows how art can open new understandings of the technological as part of our being in the world.
The exhibition features works by: A.A. Murakami, Alice Bucknell, Ayoung Kim, Daria Martin, Holly Herndon and Matt Dryhurst, Joan Heemskerk, Jonas Kjeldgaard Sørensen, Klára Hosnedlová, Martyna Marciniak, Nanna Debois Buhl, Rhoda Ting and Mikkel Bojesen, Silas Inoue, Takashi Murakami, WangShui, and Yunchul Kim.
The lecture and exhibition tour will be held in Danish.
The ticket price includes admission.
