    Experience Contemporary Art Up Close Through a Guided Tour

    At Copenhagen Contemporary, we are passionate about bringing art to life. We communicate with professionalism, perspective, and a deep sense of curiosity – and we love inviting you into the conversation.

    Whether you’re a company on an outing, an art association, a family, or a group of friends, our dedicated art mediators are ready to guide you through our impressive exhibition halls on Refshaleøen. Here, you’ll experience contemporary art on a grand scale – and at eye level.

    A guided tour lasts about 45 minutes and is always based on one or more of our current exhibitions. We value dialogue and tailor the experience for both seasoned art lovers and those visiting a contemporary art space for the very first time.

    Special Note on Guided Tours of the James Turrell Installation
    If you would like a guided tour of James Turrell’s light installation, it takes place outside of the museum’s regular opening hours. This ensures a full sensory experience – without waiting time and in a calm atmosphere for deeper immersion.

    Please note: One group may consist of up to 28 people. If you are more than 28, two separate tours must be booked. Be sure to mention in the comments field if you are part of the same group – we’ll do our best to coordinate your visit accordingly.

    A guided tour costs DKK 950 on weekdays and DKK 1,200 on weekends and public holidays. Admission is charged separately at DKK 115 per person for groups, for all visitors aged 18 and over.

    A guided tour outside our regular opening hours costs DKK 1,800 on weekdays and DKK 2,400 on weekends and public holidays, excluding admission of DKK 115 per person (18+) and DKK 25 per child (ages 2–17).

    James Turrell guided tours always take place outside our regular opening hours, typically from 10:00–11:00 or in the evening after the museum has closed.

    Please note that your booking is only confirmed once you have received a booking confirmation.

    We prefer that you pay upon arrival. If this is not possible, we can send you an invoice prior to your visit. Please note that there is an administrative fee of 125.00 DKK for invoicing.

    Please note that it is not possible to pay on the day if your tour is booked outside our regular opening hours.

    If a guided tour is cancelled no later than 48 hours before the scheduled time, there will be no charge. For cancellations received later than 48 hours before the scheduled time, the full amount will be charged including an invoice administration fee (125 DKK).

      Turrell tours take place outside our normal opening hours – typically 10:00–11:00 or in the evening after closing. Price: DKK 1,800 on weekdays / DKK 2,400 on weekends and public holidays – excl. admission of DKK 115 per person over 18 and DKK 25 per child (ages 2–17). If your tour is in the morning, you can pay on the day at the ticket desk when we open at 11:00. If it is in the evening, payment on the day is not possible – please choose an invoice option.
