Join us as the internationally acclaimed Japanese architect and design studio Kengo Kuma & Associates occupy an exhibition venue in Denmark for the very first time.

On 28 March, a new chapter in the CCreate exhibition series opens with a site-specific installation by Kengo Kuma/KKAA Earth | Tree transforms Hall 4 into a poetic architectural landscape, inviting visitors to experience architecture through body and senses. The exhibition is rooted in Kengo Kuma’s philosophy of “gentle architecture” — an approach that emerges in dialogue with nature, place, and people.

Based on the fundamental elements of earth and wood, the installation explores architecture’s most original point of departure: the human need to seek shelter beneath a tree. The concept revolves around the Japanese term komorebi — an aesthetic notion describing sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees, creating a living interplay of light and shadow on the ground.

On the opening day, visitors can explore architectural materials, move through the landscape, and experience how space can be felt with the whole body.

As part of the exhibition, audiences are invited into a creative workshop zone where both children and adults can experiment with architecture. Shape landscapes in sand, build with wood and brick, and discover how architecture takes form through play, hands-on exploration, and imagination.

Welcome to CCreate — a place where creativity grows.
