Program
Wednesday 18/2 (5–7 PM): “Writing is seeing” – writing as sensing and attention.
Sunday 1/3 (11 AM–2 PM): Creativity, creation, and inspiration – how we find inspiration through art.
Wednesday 4/3 (5–7 PM): Who is writing? Exploring who the “I” is when writing.
Wednesday 11/3 (5–7 PM): Text as material and form – methods and techniques. Text as material: sentences, fragments, breaks, and rhythm.
Sunday 22/3 (11 AM–2 PM): Writing as archaeology – telling stories through objects. Opening up the writing process through symbolism, associations, and memories.
Wednesday 25/3 (5–7 PM): How do I write? Working with a text based on the various methods and ideas explored throughout the course.
Sunday the 29th of March at 11am-13pm: a mini-opening will be held together with the other CC Skills courses. This day is an opportunity to showcase what you have been working on during the course and to see what participants from the other courses have created. Each participant may invite one guest for free. After the opening, you are welcome to explore CC’s exhibitions or enjoy a cup of coffee in our café. Participation is optional.
CC Skills: How Do I Do Creative Writing? is a 6-week writing course designed to unlock your creativity and make space for curiosity and play through writing. The course is aimed at adults and is suitable for both beginners and experienced writers.
The course is about finding your own voice in writing– and about allowing something unexpected to express itself through you. It is a writing workshop with a focus on the process and the joy that arises when following a sentence that unlocks something within.
Instructor Nina Kock is an author and holds a Master’s degree in Critical Writing from the Royal College of Art, London.
What to expect
Each session is a sensory and immersive experience – 2 to 3 hours of experimental writing exercises focused on imagination, language, and process. We begin with small warm-up exercises to release the pressure of performance, followed by exercises where intuition and exploratory writing are at the center.
The exercises are inspired by CC’s exhibitions, so art provides a framework for our work and opens up new ways of thinking about text. Techniques and methods are introduced along the way, creating space for you to develop your own approach.
Whether you want to rediscover the joy of writing or explore writing as a new means of expression, CC Course: How Do I Write? invites you to write without judgment, embrace the unexpected, and discover your own unique voice.
The course is taught in English, but the instructor can speak Danish and you are welcome to write in Danish.
