As a member of CC, you are invited to experience the new solo exhibition by the international artist duo Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme, a day before it opens to the public.

About the Exhibition

Since 2007, the artist duo has built an internationally acclaimed practice across video, sound, text, and performance, creating immersive total installations. Drawing inspiration from the 1990s drum and bass music scene in London, they sample and combine archival material and electronic rhythms to craft new, original soundscapes. The sound is accompanied by beautiful and sometimes intense visuals, interwoven with pulsating traces of system-critical and poetic texts in Arabic and English.

This exhibition is the second in a three-year program collaboration between CC and the Glyptotek titled Hosting Histories – Revisiting Cultural Heritage of the Middle East and Beyond, which focuses on the heritage of antiquity and its contemporary significance.
