Winter Break at CC
Fastelavn, monsters and loads of imagination
Bring the whole family to Copenhagen Contemporary during the winter break, where we invite you to a week filled with creative play, art experiences at children’s eye level, and a festive Fastelavn atmosphere.
Workshop all week
In our open workshop, children (and adults) can let loose with Fastelavn branches, face painting, costumes, and decorating barrels. Together we transform the space into a colourful, imaginative universe – with room for both small artists and big ideas.
Art talks for kids
Every day in week 7, join us for short, lively talks about works in our exhibitions – tailored to children and curious families.
🕦 11:30, 12:30 and 13:30
Duration: approx. 10 minutes
(A perfect pit stop between play, workshops and exhibitions.)
Petting Zoo
All week long, you can try holding a real soft robot from the work After Care by Mikkel Bojesen & Rhoda Ting, part of the exhibition Soft Robots.
Monster Chetwynd: introduction + drawing workshop
On Saturday 14 February, 1–2 pm, a CC educator will guide you through a drawing workshop and an introduction to Monster Chetwynd’s imaginative universe in Hall 4, with drawing exercises carried out inside the exhibition itself.
Extra winter break perks
– Come in costume during week 7 and get free admission
– 20% off all drinks at Darcy (you’ll receive a voucher after purchasing admission)
Winter break at CC is full of imagination, togetherness, and art that can be touched, drawn, talked about and played with. We look forward to seeing you.
