The performance is part of CC10 – a three-day festival of performance, talks, and concerts at Copenhagen Contemporary, taking place from 23–25 January. The festival brings together artists, performers, and musicians in an intensive programme where performance unfolds across a wide range of forms and formats.

Over the course of all three days, audiences can experience a rich and varied programme of performances, talks, and concerts that activate the entire space of CC and create encounters between body, sound, movement, and storytelling.

On the occasion of CC10, Nadia Wire presents a selection of pieces from her ten collections as well as a curated selection from her textile archive, which is given new life through upcycling. The presentation offers a rare insight into her circular approach to design, materials, and production.

Wire works at the intersection of fashion and textile design, where advanced knitting techniques are used to shape a tactile, sensorial, and visually rich universe. Her practice challenges fast-fashion logics and explores how clothing can be produced locally and responsibly without compromising aesthetics or quality.

During CC10, visitors will be able to explore selected knitwear designs, gain insight into the materials, and see how form, colour, and texture are interwoven.

On Sunday, January 25, Nadia Wire will be present for an informal conversation with the audience about the fashion industry, pace, responsibility, and what it takes to bring production back to Denmark.

Nadia Wire is a Danish knitwear designer educated at Central Saint Martins (2017), where she specialised in knitwear. She has worked for international fashion houses such as Pringle of Scotland, Peter Pilotto, Stine Goya and Iris van Herpen. After several years in an industry characterised by high speed and little room for reflection, she returned to Copenhagen in 2020 with a mission to counter overproduction and re-establish local textile production in Denmark.
