Please note: This course focuses exclusively on working with reliefs
CC Skills: How Do I do ceramics? is a 6-week course designed to awaken your creativity and explore storytelling through clay reliefs. The course is aimed at adults and is suitable for both beginners and experienced participants.
The Course is about finding your own way of telling stories through the material – allowing your experiences, dreams, and imagination to take shape in a tactile and physical form.
The instructor, Alikka Garder Petersen, is a trained ceramicist and designer with many years of experience in ceramics and sculpture, working with relief as a form of storytelling. Clay becomes a living material where you can add, subtract, and experiment, working toward the composition and narrative you wish to convey.
What to Expect
Each session is an immersive experience – 2 to 3 hours of experimental exercises focusing on form, material, and storytelling. We start with sketching in clay, which is then developed into modeling, allowing you to work with clay in its different stages and explore the many possibilities it offers.
Whether you are new to working with clay, want to challenge your skills, or rediscover your creative approach, CC Skills: How Do I Do Ceramics? provides a safe space for play, experimentation, and exploration, where you can let the material guide you and develop your creativity and understanding of the medium.
