Internship at CC

Curatorial Department

Do you dream of going behind the scenes at one of Scandinavia’s largest venues for contemporary art – and gaining hands-on art professional experience up close with exhibition work? Now you have the chance to become part of everyday life at CC as an intern in our curatorial team in the spring semester of 2027.

At CC, we work with contemporary art on a large scale – from monumental installations and video works to performances, talks and events. Behind every exhibition lies extensive curatorial work, where ideas are developed, works are produced, texts are written, and collaborations with artists and institutions take shape. As an intern, you become part of this process and gain insight into how exhibitions come to life, from idea to opening.

You will work closely with the curatorial team and have the opportunity to try your hand at many different aspects of exhibition work – both the conceptual and the practical.

As a curatorial intern at CC, your tasks may include:

  • Assisting with the planning and realization of exhibitions
  • Collaborating with the curatorial team on exhibition and interpretive texts
  • Assisting with the planning and running of events and exhibition openings
  • Proofreading texts and materials
  • Research and writing
  • Gaining insight into the work with funding applications
  • Getting acquainted with art education and visitor engagement in the exhibitions
  • Various ad hoc tasks related to exhibition work

We are a small team where collaboration is an important part of everyday life – and where there is room both for in-depth professional work and for lending a hand when needed.

About you
We imagine that you:

  • Study art history, visual culture, modern culture or a related field
  • Are interested in contemporary art and keep up with current developments in art and society
  • Write clearly, precisely and eloquently
  • Are fluent in both Danish and English
  • Are full of ideas and eager to contribute to the process from development to realization
  • Are a good colleague who is happy to help with practical tasks as well
  • Need an internship as part of your studies

Practical information
