What does a visual artist actually do – and could it be you?

Do you love being creative and experimenting with colors, shapes, light, and scents?
Then join us for our Summer School 2025 – a week filled with color, imagination, and immersion for children aged 7 to 11.

Together with our two talented visual artists, Julie Koldby and Clara Reeh, and a small group of max. 20 art-loving children, we’ll dive into the world of art and explore the large, sensory exhibitions at Copenhagen Contemporary.

We’ll, for example:

• make our own paintbrushes

• paint with scents and materials you (maybe) have never tried before

• work with light and shadow

• and experience art with our whole body and all our senses

Everything we experience and create during the week will culminate in your very own exhibition, which opens with a festive vernissage for family and friends. Yes – a real exhibition, right in the middle of CC!

When:
Week 32 – Monday, August 4 to Friday, August 8, 2025
Every day from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM

DKK 2,300 – includes all materials and a Child +1 membership (Value DKK 275)

We’ll provide tea, snacks, and fruit – you bring your own lunch and your creativity.

What is a Child +1 membership?

With a Child +1 membership, the child gets free admission to CC for a whole year – together with one accompanying adult per visit. That can be a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, or an adult friend.
The membership is worth DKK 275 and also gives access to special events for children and families – like creative workshops on weekends and during school holidays.
