Cocktails & Curator: Alia Farid
About
Join us for an evening where contemporary art unfolds before you in an informal, inspiring setting, as Senior Curator Aukje Lepoutre Ravn takes you behind the scenes.
We’ll dive into the newly opened solo exhibition by Alia Farid. Senior Curator Aukje Lepoutre Ravn will share stories from her collaboration with the artist and offer a unique insight into the layers of research, aesthetics, and political reflection that underpin the show’s creation.
About the Artist
Alia Farid (b. 1985) is an artist and architect based in Kuwait and Puerto Rico. Her practice spans art, film, and social concerns, focusing on the structures, power dynamics, and environmental changes shaping landscapes and lives in the Gulf region. Through installations, film, and architectural elements, she weaves poetic narratives of belonging, migration, and suppressed histories—bringing attention to the often-overlooked stories behind the region’s economic development.
We’ll cap the evening with cocktails and conversation in CC’s café.
