Join us from 17:00 for the opening of Fire & Ice, a new exhibition featuring eight prominent and emerging contemporary artists with roots in Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland).

Spanning visual art, performance, literature and activism, Fire & Ice brings together personal stories of belonging, identity, climate and colonial legacy. Move through immersive video works, sculptures, photography and atmospheric installations, all shaped by the artists’ reflections on land, ancestry and what it means to belong.

In Fire & Ice, voices with Greenlandic ties take centre stage. In a time when the country occupies more space in the world than ever before – but rarely gets to speak for itself – the exhibition asks one simple, big question: what does it mean to belong? To a country, a lineage, a language.

Come celebrate art, community and see the world from somewhere else — their perspective.

Participating artists:
Martin Brandt Hansen
Emilia Sølvsten
Inuuteq Storch
Jessie Kleemann
Inuk Silis Høegh
”Eriaqisaq” Kim Kleist-Eriksen
Lisbeth Karline Poulsen
Julie Edel Hardenberg

The exhibition is supported by the 15. Juni Fonden, Augustinusfonden, Aage og Johanne Louis Hansens Fond. Publication of the catalogue is supported by Ny Carlsbergfondet.
