Join us as the Danish design collective NIKO JUNE opens the EROS TORSO FACTORY & BAR pop-up shop in CC’s foyer.

On Thursday, September 21st, CC invites you to the opening of the pop-up shop where the design collective NIKO JUNE, for the first time, will create their iconic vases “Eros Torso” live as part of their residency in CC’s foyer. We will kick off the collaboration with free beer from tap for the first attendees, a DJ set, and the opportunity to get a unique insight into the creation of the vases as NIKO JUNE sets up their shop at CC.

The Eros Torso vases are designed by artists Oliver Sundqvist and Frederik Nystrup-Larsen, and has become a signature design for the studio’s practice. Each vase is individually made by hand at the NIKO JUNE workshop in Copenhagen. Made from upcycled plastic using recovered beer kegs, every vase in the series has a distinctive character with no two being the same. The process is a reflection of the studio’s production practices being rooted in the industrial and intentional using existing materials and reinterpreting both form and function.

By inviting various artists for gift shop residencies, CC aims to challenge, develop, and expand the concept of the traditional museum store. In addition to the Eros Torso vases, several products from NIKO JUNE’s extensive collection will also be available in the shop.
