CC Studio workshop: Mending Matters

About

Come and join us for the Mending Matters workshop on August 19th from 13-16 PM, where you can get help and ideas to repair your clothes or accessories with embroidery. Bring your or your children’s favorite worn out shirt, a top with stains or your favorite jeans – everything can be repaired, decorated, and made completely unique with embroidery.

The workshop is facilitated by textile designer Jane Ingerslev. She is teaching embroidery at VIA University College in Denmark. During the workshop, she will demonstrate a range of techniques and methods of mending – e.g. freehand embroidery, Japanese sashiko embroidery, darning techniques and more. She will bring pictures, books and samples for inspiration. All the tools and materials are available to use during the workshop – but you bring your own clothes or accessories.

It is free to participate in the workshop. Register here . There are no special prerequisites to participate in the workshop. Both children, young people and adults are welcome. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshop is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation.
