Autumn holidays at CC
What kind of building do you miss in your city?
Join CC Studio’s workshop in the autumn holiday where we will open a creative workshop on our first floor every day of the week!
Here you are invited to participate in a large joint work we create together around the theme of which buildings we would wish existed in our city, inspired by the exhibition København, kærlighed & candyfloss (Copenhagen, Love & Candy floss).
In the workshop we will build our imaginary buildings from recycled materials in all colors of the rainbow. The buildings are combined into a large city, which expands and changes shape during the autumn holiday week.
NB: All autumn holiday activities are free after paid admission to Copenhagen Contemporary.
In addition, during the autumn holidays you can explore CC’s four exhibitions:
KØBENHAVN, KÆRLIGHED & CANDYFLOSS 🍭
This exhibition presents the different project proposals for a future Palads Teatret submitted for the idea competition by Copenhagen Contemporary and Gernes-Fonden. The architectural models are exhibited side by side with a selection of Poul Gernes’s own works and original sketches for Palads.
The group exhibition ART OF SPORT 🏀
Experience all that sport has to offer when CC, through a series of works by international and national artists, zooms in on the idolization associated with sport, its gender and ethnicity codes, its mechanisms for inclusion and exclusion, and sport’s relationship to politics, power, and money.
SHORT STORY by Elmgreen & Dragset 🎾
Experience Elmgreen & Dragset’s cinematic installation that captures a charged moment after a tennis match – and where it is up to you to complete the abrupt narrative frozen in time and space. Who is the winner and who is the loser?
WISH TREE GARDEN by Yoko Ono 🌿
What is your biggest wish? Make a wish, write it down and join Japanese-born artist Yoko Ono’s art installation Wish Tree Garden.
On Saturday and Sunday, children can join a tour created especially for them. At 14.00 our art hosts invite children and their parents to join a 30-minute tour of the exhibitions, where we explore art together through talk, play and activities.
Remember that we are open on Monday and Tuesday during the autumn holidays!
