Autumn holiday at CC
During the Autumn holiday, you can experience activities at CC created by children and young people for other children and young people – and their grown-ups!
Inspired by Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), which specifies that children shall have the right to take part in cultural and creative activities, we have some exciting activities in store for the Autumn holiday. Amongst other things, you can experience Lyden af Nørrebro (Sound of Nørrebro), play your way through the 1600 m2 large exhibition Children’s Games, become a co-creator of an installation, join a children’s tour and make your creativity spark in our workshop.
Already on October 13 at 1PM the exhibition Jordforbindelser (Grounding) opens with an opening speech by Program Manager for Rights Schools Christian Bindslev from Unicef, workshop and children’s snacks for the first guests.
CC is open all days during the Autumn holiday from 15 October to 23 October, where you can:
> Experience the installation Jordforbindelser (Grounding), developed by a group of children, Rum for Æstetik, UNICEF, CC, and Rune Fjord Studio. You can contribute to the installation yourself and chat to others about children’s rights.
> Feel sound! By touching the three sculptures on display at CC, everyone can experience music – without hearing it. The sculptures are created by DTU.
> Experience the installation Lyden af Nørrebro (Sound of Nørrebro), developed by 6 young people from Nørrebro, who have written the texts, composed the music, and recorded it with a musician.
> In Halls 1 and 2, CC shows an exhibition of the artist Francis Alÿs featuring 31 films of children playing. In the foyer by the entrance, you’ll find play cards and a game developed by Bubble Tea, one of CC’s art clubs for children and young people.
> Every day at 14.00 during half-term we have a guided tour for children. We meet in the foyer. Taking part is free of charge, and the tour lasts about 30 minutes. You don’t have to stay for the whole tour.
> The workshop is open every day from 11.00‒17.30. Everyone is welcome to take part in the activities.
We look forward to seeing you!
It is free to participate in all activities after payed entry. Children and young people under 18 years get free access to CC. Children under 12 years should to be accompanied by an adult.
